you guyssss can I please share my excitement about this series?! gila loh ini, this makes science look soooo approachable and wondrous and awesome Hidden Content

this coming from a girl who totally flunked maths, chemistry, physics and biology yaa.. science is interesting tapi i blame the indo curriculum for making this more difficult and dull for what it truly should be for basic school level education. hence i got into IPS pas SMA *also for lack of jurusan Bahasa di skolah gue grrrrr*... but i digress~

Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey is a 2014 American science documentary television series. The show is a follow-up to the 1980 television series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, which was presented by Carl Sagan on the Public Broadcasting Service and is considered a milestone for scientific documentaries. This series was developed to bring back the foundation of science to network television at the height of other scientific-based television series and films. The show is presented by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, who was inspired by Sagan as a young college student. Among the executive producers are Seth MacFarlane, whose clout and financial investment was instrumental in bringing the show to broadcast television, and Ann Druyan, Sagan's widow and a co-creator of the original series. The series loosely follows the same thirteen-episode format and storytelling approach that the original Cosmos used, including elements such as the "Ship of the Imagination", but features information updated since the 1980 series along with extensive computer-generated graphics and animation footage augmenting the narration. The show is produced by Brannon Braga, and Alan Silvestri provides the backing score.

beneran deh ini series bagus banget dan begitu educational. i so wish they show this in classrooms. pasti bikin lebih menarik deh materi pelajarannya. and anyway for us adults this is still really beautiful.

baru ada 4 episode; so far it's discussed the universe, evolution, genetics, gravity..

di cable tv lokal juga ditayangin sih ini, keknya Nat Geo yah.. tapi gue kurang tau hari dan jam berapa.

Minggu lalu baru nonton rasanya 2 seri berturut2 di nat geo bagusss banget emang,bertaun2 ngga ngeerti science tapi kalo nonton berasa oh gt toh,wkwkwk moga2 besok ada lagi ahhh,gara2 nonton ini sampe kumat lagi hobi nonton dokumenter hehehehh

hai cucimuka dan camomile aaaah senangnya nemu yg nonton ini juga di sini. i was starting to wonder whether this thread immediately went into a dead-zone hahaha Hidden Content

apik berat yaaa iniii. karna visualsnya mendukung banget, jadi betah ya nontonnya. gue slalu gak sabaran lohh nunggu episode baru tiap minggu. i hope this series goes on for a loooongg time =D

imagine Seth McFarlane; the guy behind Ted aka the super obnoxious teddybear is the same guy producing this gem.

Disti,minggu ini ada lagi ngga ya ,barusan cek di jadwal nat geo ngga ada,mana bocah nontonnya dianey xd mulu,sampe kudu tarik urat leher dl biar dapet jatah nonton, ntar kalo dvd nya dah ada aku mau beli deh buat koleksi, kalau yg prof brian cox yg di nbc knowledge suka nonton ngga? Itu juga bagus cuman memang yg space ini rasanya lbh keren ya heheh

Nah, itu gua kagum juga ama si seth ya. Doi kan bikin pelem banyakan isengnya daripada seriusnya. Sejenis family guy, american dad, Cleveland Show. Makanya pas gua liat dese jadi exec prodnya. Gua jg WOW.

Hahaha, cuma klo si Neil ini yak (my BF adore him so much. Jadi dia yg hebohin ini serial ke gua). Mendingan suaranya doang didenger, drpd tampangnya keliatan. Kumisnya bit annoyed me. Hahaha... *salah fokus*

cucimuka wah gue malah ga tau tuh acara yg di NBC knowledge. nti gue cari donlotannya aja deh. i dont have that channel di tv gue keknya.

camomile the editing is done similar like star trek series. well begitu yg dibilang sama temen gue yg nonton startrek next gen ini. gue cman "oyah?" aja hahaha.

neil doesnt look like your stereotypical scientist kali yaa, mungkin karna ini dia nampak lebih approachable. he has good speaking skills juga.

gue suka sih acara ini dibikin formatnya kek explorative banget. i want moar moar moaaaarrrr..

Gue ga suka banget Seth McFarlane, terutama sejak dia jadi host di Oscars itu. Tapi the fact kalo dia bantu Dr deGrasse Tyson untuk bikin Cosmos bikin rada luluh (tsah).

Bagusnya Cosmos itu, imho, penekanan terhadap the importance of inquisitive mind (which is what science is all about).

Sepakata ma disti, coba dulu diajarinnya kaya gini or mirip2 lah, bisa tertarik banget gw utk mendalami science
