iya wkt gw lagi hobi baking itu, bener2 dari yg ga tau apa2 sampe bisa bikin bday cake segala lo Hidden Content

Aku masih cupu nih bikin b-day cake yg dihias, Masih kudu blajar lagih!
Kue chocolatenya padat kaya brownie gituh teksturnya.
Tapi ini lebih lembut karena pake water bath pas bakingnya.
Rasanya enakkk abis coklatnya banyak sih hehehe terus g makannya pake raspberry dan disprinkle atasnya pake confectioner's sugar dikit.Last edited by Durian; May 14, 2008 at 12:05 PM.

durian iya.. pernah bikin jg gw.. coba doang, tapi males bikin lagi, soalnya lama.. :P enakan beli cepet. lagian kurang cheesy . enakan cheese cake beneran .
eh baked cheese cake jg gw pake bain au marie kok.. lbh enak deh texture nya jd lbh lembut.

ikut meramaikan ya. kemarin jumat pas undang temen2nya sjaminah ke rumah (plus their mum tentunya), bikin morning tea, terus salah satunya bikin carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (my fave in the whole world!)

boleh dong teman2 Hidden Content ini resepnya, silahkan dicoba. aku ada dua macam sih. yang satu pakai ginger. ini juga enak banget Hidden Content
CARROT CAKE
Ingredients
1 cup self raising wholemeal flour
3⁄4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 cups finely grated carrot
1⁄2 cup chopped walnuts
125ml (1⁄2 cup) oil
2 eggs
Frosting
60g packaged cream cheese
30g butter
11⁄2 cups icing sugar, sifted
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Method
Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, carrot and walnuts in bowl, stir in combined oil and eggs. Pour into ungreased base lined 20cm ring cake pan, cook in microwave on MEDIUM HIGH 8 minutes, or until just cooked. Stand 5 minutes, turn onto wire rack to cool. Top with Frosting and walnuts.
Frosting:
Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth in small bowl of electric mixer, gradually beat in icing sugar and lemon juice.

CARROT and GINGER CAKE
Ingredients
11⁄2 cups self raising flour
1 cup plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
2 teaspoons grated ginger
1/3 cup chopped crystallised ginger
100g pecans, roughly chopped
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1⁄2 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup light olive oil
3 cups grated carrot
For the icing:
250g cream cheese, at room temperature
2 teaspoons grated orange zest
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 1⁄2 cups icing sugar mixture
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a 22cm cake tin.
Sift the flours and baking powder into a large bowl. Stir through the brown sugar, ginger and pecans.
In a jug, mix together the eggs, buttermilk and olive oil. Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients. Pour in the combined wet ingredients along with the carrot. Mix until combined. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean. Cool in the tin slightly before turning out. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before icing.
For the icing:
Beat together cream cheese, butter and vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in the sifted icing sugar. When the cake is cool, smooth the mixture evenly over the cake.
