    Default Healthy Snacks to Eat at School & Home

    moms, sharing yuk resep snacks untuk bekal sekolah atau untuk camilan di rumah.

    sbg guidance, artikel singkat yg diambil dari Hidden Content di bawah ini rasanya cukup bagus.

    Snacks
    Chips, biscuits and chocolate bars give kids a pleasant taste 'hit'. But these foods are usually high in kilojoules, saturated fats, sugar and salt and provide few nutrients, so they need to be limited. Luckily, children can also enjoy fruit, vegetables, dairy and other cereal-based healthy snacks, though it can take a little coaxing and a few firm rules.

    Tips for parents
    • Set limits on the number of sugary snacks allowed and explain that they are treats and not for every day.
    • Offer children a variety of healthy snacks as this will give them the opportunity to make their own choice and get them in the habit of choosing more healthy options.
    • Always have healthy snacks in the home to decrease the temptation of having unhealthy ones.
    • Don’t give snacks too close to meal times as this discourages children from eating their main meal, which leads to a desire for snacks later on.
    • Avoid soft drinks and other sugary drinks, as they make fill children feel full and may therefore take the place of a healthier snack.
    • Remember – snacks can be a great way to incorporate more fruit and vegetables into your child’s diet.


    Give more of …
    • Fresh or canned fruit – try making fruit kebabs, or chopped fruit in a tub
    • Vegetable sticks (e.g. carrot, cucumber, capsicum) with low-fat dips
    • Raisin toast or bread, pikelets, pancakes or scones with a little polyunsaturated or monounsaturated margarine or fruit spread
    • Lightly spread muffins and crumpets
    • Rice cakes topped with vegetables and reduced-fat cheese, vegemite or sliced banana
    • Dried fruit and unsalted nuts (not suitable for children under 5)
    • Yoghurt (natural or fruit)
    • Healthy fruit muffins


    Give less of …
    • Biscuits
    • Cakes, donuts and pastries
    • Chocolate bars and lollies
    • Potato chips, corn chips and cheesy snacks
    • Sweet drinks – fizzy drinks, cordials and fruit juices

    Sama dengan Mamita, anak gw juga sering gw bawain roti2 breadtalk, donut, bolu2 gulung, kadang suka bawain Jagung rebus pipil, yoghurt, crakcers buat snack break.

    Tapi kalo lagi kumat males sering juga cuma gw gorengin sosis ato gak nugget Hidden Content

    Nahh gue jg perlu bgt nih resep2 snack sehat, soalnya Aluf udah mulai seneng ngemil dan pasti mintanya coklat, kerupuk sama pilus Hidden Content

    Baru2 ini gue mulai suka beli edamame di total buah buat gantiin pilus yg gak ada gizinya itu dan thank goodness dia suka. Edamame bagus bgt buat cemilan krn mengandung omega3 fatty acids, fiber, iron and kalsium.

    Enaknya sih edamame ini tinggal dikukus/direbus aja, kasih garem dikiiiit dan udah deh, enak bgt buat dimakan ujan2 gitu (enggak ujan jg enak sih hehehe)

    Apalagi yah snack yg sehat dan gampang ngedapetinnya?

    Ehh ketemu nih resep healthy snacks yg pernah dipost miss chinoscuro di thread MPASI. Gue copy paste yahh...kayaknya yummy nih..

    Baby Chicken Fingers With Apple (age 7/8 months+)
    9oz ground chicken
    1 medium carrot
    1 medium apple
    1/2 garlic clove
    1oz onion
    1 small egg yolk, beaten
    1oz fresh breadcrumbs
    pinch crushed, dried thyme
    pinch freshly ground black pepper

    Peel and grate the carrot, apple, garlic and onion.
    Place into a mixing bowl, along with the ground chicken.
    Add the beaten egg, breadcrumbs, thyme and black pepper. Mix well.
    Take small balls of the mixture and roll into little "sausages".
    Place on a grill pan (broiler) and heat under the grill for 10 mins on each side.
    Allow to cool.
    Serve, or store some in the freezer for future use (if you haven't already eaten them!)

    Tempting Tofu Nuggets (age 10 months+)
    1 package of firm tofu
    4oz finely crushed cornflakes
    1oz Parmesan cheese, grated finely
    dash of garlic powder (optional)
    egg yolk, beaten well (or milk if you want to avoid eggs)

    Preheat the oven to 350 deg F.
    Cut the tofu into nugget-sized pieces.
    Take each piece of tofu and dip it first into the egg (or milk), then into the crushed cornflakes. Make sure that they are completely covered.
    Cover a baking sheet with foil. Spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray.
    Put the nuggets on the baking sheet and bake for around 20 mins, turning the tray after 10 mins.

    Beef Finger Food
    8oz lean minced/ground beef
    4oz mashed potatoes

    Pre-heat the oven to 350 deg F, 180 deg C.
    Combine the ingredients and blend well.
    Roll into 1in balls.
    Place on a baking tray and cook for around 20 mins.
    Drain the fat, then cool and serve.

    Cheesy Vegetable Nuggets (age 7/8 months+)
    8oz frozen broccoli florets
    4oz breadcrumbs
    6oz Cheddar, grated
    2 1/2 tbsp water
    2 1/2 tbsp olive oil
    1 1/2 tsp baking powder

    Heat the oven to 375 deg F, 190 deg C.
    Cook the broccoli, then drain and chop well.
    Combine with the remaining ingredients and mix well.
    Form the mixture into nugget shapes and place on a greased baking tray, about 3in apart.
    Bake for 20-25 mins, turning halfway through the cooking time.
    Serve warm.

    Affi..gue baru aja mikir bel edamame dmana ya buat camilan Awan. Eh lo posting deh.cm di total buah aja ya adanya? Trus pas ngukus itu taburin garam sekulit2nya kan ya? Ga perlu dibukain dulu baru digaremin?

    Dewdew, edamame di total ada,di superkampret biasa juga ada deh...gw demen juga,gw makan dingin aja enak.
    Garam langsung aja taburin,tapi cobain dulu deh, soalnya ada edamame kemasan yg udah asin dari sononya

    demodeboutiqe kok anaknya mau dibawain bekal buah? anak gw susah banget makan buah & sayurnya. malah suka ngumpetin sayur di bawah kolong tempat tidur, mirip mamanya persis waktu kecil Hidden Content

    biasanya sih sayur2an gw goreng tepung aja lah semua, biar dia mau makan pakai saos tomat. terus sekalian bawain nugget atau sosis, sama nasi juga. anak gw ga nampol makannya kalo bekalnya ga pake nasi Hidden Content

    mau coba resep2 dari Affi deh biar lebih sehat makanannya, ga terlalu oily jg ya kayaknya.

    dewdew, gue belum pernah liat sih edamame ini di supermarket2 lain, selama ini belinya di total buah aja. Iya, kalo gue digareminnya di atas kulitnya gitu sih abis itu baru dikukus jadi ngeresep sampe ke dalem2 deh tuh asinnya. Tp jangan banyak2 ya Hidden Content
